Where Light Leads (Print)

US$125.00

Inspired by Loch Lomond, Scotland.

Some of my happiest memories have been made on the water. This painting was inspired by a day kayaking on Loch Lomond near the village of Luss, where the changing Scottish light transformed the landscape with every passing moment.

Although inspired by a personal experience with my husband, I wanted the figures to remain silhouetted and anonymous, allowing the scene to speak to anyone who has shared a quiet adventure with someone they love. The calm water, distant hills and dramatic shafts of light celebrate not only the beauty of Loch Lomond, but also those simple moments of connection that stay with us long after the journey has ended.

Created in professional soft pastel on archival Pastelmat, layers of richly pigmented pastel create soft transitions of light and colour while preserving the textures.

Falls of Falloch (Print)

US$125.00

Nestled within the woodland of Glen Falloch, the Falls of Falloch offer a place of stillness where the sound of rushing water replaces the noise of everyday life. Surrounded by ancient trees and lush greenery, the waterfall has become a favourite destination for walkers seeking a quiet moment in nature.

Created in soft pastel, this painting focuses on the atmosphere of the place rather than its precise detail. Dappled sunlight filters through the woodland canopy while the white water catches the light, creating a sense of movement, calm and renewal. It is a celebration of one of Scotland's hidden natural treasures and the restorative power of wild places.

Loch Fyne at Twilight (Print)

US$124.00

There are certain places that become part of us long after we've left them. For many years, this view across Loch Fyne was one I returned to time and again. As evening approached, I would wander down to the shoreline to watch the last light slip behind the mountains, leaving the loch calm and reflective beneath the changing colours of the sky.

Although the caravan has long since gone, the memory of those quiet evenings remains vivid. This piece was created not simply to record the landscape, but to capture the peace and stillness of those fleeting moments when daylight gives way to dusk.

Hand-felted using carefully layered fibres, the soft texture of the wool echoes the gentle atmosphere of twilight, creating a surface that changes subtly as the light moves across it.

I hope this artwork evokes that universal feeling of finding somewhere that offers a moment of stillness—a place that stays with you long after you've left.

Turquoise Waters of Mull

US$125.00

Some places are remembered not only for what they look like, but for how they make you feel. Inspired by a campsite beach on the Isle of Mull, this original pastel captures memories of warm evenings by the shore, the scent of salt carried on the breeze, a campfire glowing nearby and a glass of whisky enjoyed as daylight slowly faded.

The west coast of Scotland is often celebrated for its dramatic landscapes, yet on calm summer days the sea transforms into brilliant shades of turquoise and aquamarine, resembling waters more often associated with the Mediterranean. Through soft pastel, I wanted to celebrate this unexpected beauty and the peaceful rhythm of life beside the sea.

Beneath the Blue (Print)

US$125.00

Trees and coral share a surprising resemblance—both branch, shelter and sustain life. This original hand-felted textile artwork explores that connection, transforming the silhouette of a tree into an underwater sanctuary where fish drift silently through shifting currents. It is an invitation to pause, reflect and appreciate the quiet beauty of nature's repeating patterns.

Last light at Luss (Print)

US$650.00

Inspired by a photograph taken by a friend during an evening wild swim at Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond, this original pastel captures the peaceful stillness that settles over the loch as the sun slips below the hills.

The glowing reflections of gold, coral and violet merge across the water, blurring the line between sky and loch. The lone swimmer becomes a quiet presence within the landscape, inviting the viewer to pause and share a fleeting moment of calm and connection with Scotland's natural beauty.

Rather than simply depicting a sunset, I wanted to capture the feeling of standing in cool water as the last light of the day fades—a moment that is both peaceful and profoundly restorative.
