Loch Fyne at Twilight

US$124.00

There are certain places that become part of us long after we've left them. For many years, this view across Loch Fyne was one I returned to time and again. As evening approached, I would wander down to the shoreline to watch the last light slip behind the mountains, leaving the loch calm and reflective beneath the changing colours of the sky.

Although the caravan has long since gone, the memory of those quiet evenings remains vivid. This piece was created not simply to record the landscape, but to capture the peace and stillness of those fleeting moments when daylight gives way to dusk.

Hand-felted using carefully layered fibres, the soft texture of the wool echoes the gentle atmosphere of twilight, creating a surface that changes subtly as the light moves across it.

I hope this artwork evokes that universal feeling of finding somewhere that offers a moment of stillness—a place that stays with you long after you've left.
