A Quiet Visitor
Each spring and summer, a fox returns to my garden and settles among the wildflowers for an afternoon sleep. Over time, these quiet visits have become a treasured reminder that even in everyday places, nature has a way of surprising us with moments of extraordinary peace.
Rather than portraying the fox as a distant subject, I wanted to capture the privilege of sharing a space with a truly wild animal—undisturbed, content and completely at ease. The surrounding wildflowers reflect the gentle beauty of an untamed garden, where wildlife is free to flourish.
Created in professional soft pastel on archival Pastelmat, layered pigments bring warmth to the fox's rich coat while preserving the softness and delicate colours of the flowers. The archival materials ensure the artwork will retain its vibrancy for generations.
The original artwork is available for acquisition. Hand-signed limited edition museum-quality giclée prints are also available.
